With a strong connection to Mexican culture, Rituales MX chairs not only invite comfort, but are a tribute to tradition and contemporary mestizaje. Founded by Mariana and Gerardo Arzate and under the premise that objects can elevate our experience, this Mexican brand seeks to fuse the traditional with the contemporary.

Tell us about the origin of your name, why did you choose “Rituales”?

We wanted something that had a lot of power and was related to the everyday. “Rituales” has that strength, because we didn’t want something technical or too fashion-related, but something that refers to how objects and daily activities can enrich our lives.I can go all the way to the Tamayo Museum, enter, and walk through it.

How do you see the chair within all this, what does this particular object mean to you?

The chair is a trigger for a sensory experience. It’s not just a place to sit; it’s an object that invites a unique experience. We worked a lot on the ergonomics, so that the sensation to the touch is also pleasant. In addition, the materials we use, such as natural woods, also help to build that sensory atmosphere.

Where can interested parties see your pieces?

All our pieces are available on our website, where they can see them from different angles and learn about details such as dimensions and materials. We also participate in design events, which allows us to have a presence and connect with more people. When someone is really interested, they can come to our workshop and see the pieces in person.

With Rituales, each object becomes more than just a decorative element; it is an emotional link that transforms the everyday into a profound experience.
