Terrícola: a culinary extension of the Earth

Nestled between the Sierra Madre and the Pacific Ocean, Hotel Terrestre redefines luxury through simplicity and sustainability. Designed by architect Alberto Kalach, this sanctuary in Puerto Escondido offers an experience of reconnection with the earth, from its local-product cuisine at the Terrícola restaurant to its minimalist villas built with natural materials.

In perfect sync with Hotel Terrestre’s philosophy, the culinary experience at Terrícola is based on simplicity, seasonality and a deep respect for the land. The open-air restaurant offers a four-course menu that changes daily and is prepared with local products and regional ingredients, blending perfectly integrated Mexican and Mediterranean flavors.

Each dish is a tribute to Oaxaca’s natural bounty, rooted in tradition but elevated with contemporary techniques. The beverage program reflects this same intention, with refreshing house cocktails, an expertly curated wine selection and a variety of non-alcoholic options designed to complement the cuisine and climate.

A COMPLEMENT TO RELAXATION

Beyond its delicious cuisine, the common spaces invite the guest to an elemental connection. To relax in its hexagonal spa, immerse oneself in the meditative waters of the immersion bath, or visit the sculptural hammam.

Few destinations evoke the spirit of escape as well as Puerto Escondido, and few places reflect it with such simplicity as Hotel Terrestre, located between the Sierra Madre and the Pacific Ocean, is Grupo Habita’s self-sustaining refuge that redefines what it means to truly disconnect.

MINIMALIST AESTHETIC

Conceived by renowned architect Alberto Kalach and built entirely with local materials, Terrestre fuses earth, brick, wood and concrete in structures that feel both ancestral and avant-garde.

In addition, each of the 14 villas is an intimate retreat, with a private pool, garden, outdoor shower and terraces that extend out to the Pacific. Latticed wooden doors and large windows dissolve the boundary between indoors and out. Custom furnishings by renowned Mexican designer Oscar Hagerman complete the immersive experience.

Whether you are looking for a restorative escape, a romantic retreat or a deep reconnection with nature, Terrestre offers a rare kind of luxury: the luxury of silence.
